We are delighted to announce that from September 2018 Charles University in Prague in collaboration with Olomouc University is launching, what is, we believe to be, the first LLM dedicated to experiential learning in Law customised to meet the needs of individual students.
As you will see from the attached brochure the programme is highly innovative drawing on the knowledge, skills and experiences of a wide range of internationally acclaimed tutors.
The programme will be delivered in English, partly through short residential periods in Prague (a week in each semester) followed by distance learning using interactive e-technology. The delivery is highly flexible and should suit those who are, for whatever reason, unable to complete a course full time and face to face.
This programme is targeted at both lawyers and teachers (who do not necessarily teach law) who would benefit from a deeper understanding of innovative, effective and applied approaches to learning and teaching, including design, delivery, integration and assessment. The first semester will centre on the theories and practice of experiential learning (leading to the award of the Certificate). The rest of the programme will focus specifically on clinical legal education through chosen electives and a dissertation and those completing this satisfactorily will be awarded the full LLM.
At the end of the programme a student should be in a position to fully grasp and apply the principles of learning by doing and reflective practice in a range of educational settings and, if relevant, establish and run legal clinics.
The programme offers exceptional value for money and there is even a discount for early bird applications – this ends however on May 31, 2018.
